Kimberly loves her job. She works with Unit 5 special education students as a bus monitor.

She says she has a connection with each of her students, but there’s one particular girl who’s very dear to Kimberly.

“She’s gone on, she’s graduated…oh wow, I miss her already. Her name is Rebecca, and I love Rebecca. I still keep in contact with her mom. We go out and have ice cream socials.”

And while she can’t afford the health insurance offered through her job, Kimberly needs insulin to manage her Type 2 diabetes.

As a patient at the Community Health Care Clinic, Kimberly picks up her insulin free of charge. “Without this Clinic it’s no way I’d be able to afford that medication,” she says. Medication and regular checkups keep Kimberly feeling well enough to wake up at 4 a.m. every weekday to be with her students.

Nearly half of all the Clinic’s revenue comes from individual donors. Without the support of community members like you, patients like Kimberly would be forced to go to the emergency room for care, and simply go without their medications – with potentially disastrous results.

Kimberly is just one example of how providing care for those in need sends ripples of positive change throughout the community. Please consider giving the gift of health to patients who rely on the Clinic, so that they can be there for those who rely on them.
