Happy Endings

What a privilege it is to serve as the Executive Director of CHCC. I have been on the job for about two months and I am truly amazed by the passion and commitment of the staff and many volunteers to our patients. And, I am awestruck by donors like you that make it possible.

I’ve heard heartwarming and heartbreaking stories of patients who work hard to make a better life for their family. Their stories stuck with me and made me want to join this team.

They are hardworking laborers and service workers. They are moms, dads and grandparents. Many are immigrants. Many have never seen a doctor before.

Meet Ruth. She is a mom, an immigrant from Congo and a newly graduated RN! She is so grateful for the care she has received. It is our privilege to walk alongside Ruth and all our families.

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will tell their stories. In telling their stories, we will also tell the stories of the amazing staff of caregivers that are the heart and soul of CHCC. None of these stories would have the same ending without you. It’s really that simple.

We are blessed with dozens of volunteers - physicians, dentists, and others, as well as two major hospitals– who care for our patients free of charge. Like you, they embrace the notion that caring for their community is the right thing to do.

This is the time of year when we come to the community and ask for support. This year, we ask you to consider an increased gift to help us stay ahead of the skyrocketing costs everyone is experiencing.

Two things are certain. Our patients know how fortunate they are to have a chance at a new life.
The need is great. And, it’s not going away.
I consider it a honor to be a part of the team that makes these stories possible. I hope you will join me in making a generous gift to CHCC.

Holly Wayland-Hall, Executive Director
